TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan
Colorado Rapids midfielder Johan Blomberg has joined Sweden's GIF Sundsvall on loan for the remainder of his contract, the club announced Tuesday.
Blomberg, 32, joined the Rapids ahead of the 2018 season where he made 24 appearances. This season he appeared in three games, the last of which on June 8.
“We would like to thank Johan for his service to the Rapids over the last two seasons. We wish him nothing but the best as he continues his career in Sweden” Rapids EVP & GM Padraig Smith said in a statement.
Prior to joining Colorado, Blomberg hadn't featured for a club outside of his native Sweden.
