Fans won’t have to wait for an hour before kickoff to learn which players will comprise Club America’s starting XI for the Campeones Cup final against Atlanta United Wednesday night (8 pm ET | ESPN2, Univision, TUDN, TSN 1/4) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Club America coach Miguel Herrera disclosed his entire starting lineup in Tuesday's press conference, a rarity in modern-day soccer. The match won’t include former LA Galaxy midfielder Giovani dos Santos, but there are plenty of other high-profile names set to feature for the Liga MX side.
- Goalkeeper: Oscar Francisco Jimenez
- Defenders: Paul Aguilar, Bruno Valdez, Carlos Vargas, Jorge Sanchez
- Midfielders: Sebastian Cordova, Guido Rodriguez
- Attackers: Renato Ibarra, Roger Martinez, Andres Ibarguen, Henry Martin
Atlanta will have their hands full, with the lineup featuring national team players from across South and Central America.
