A source confirmed Nantes' interest in Accam to MLSsoccer.com on Wednesday afternoon, but said that a transfer was "unlikely to happen." If a deal is to get done, it'll have to be completed before the French transfer deadline closes at 6 pm ET on Wednesday night.

One of the Chicago Fire’s bright spots this season could be making a move to France, according to ESPN’s Taylor Twellman.
Twellman tweeted on Wednesday morning that Ligue 1 club FC Nantes are attempting to engineer a deal for Fire attacker David Accam.
Accam, 25, joined the Fire as a Designated Player in December 2014. He recorded 10 goals and two assists in 24 games in his first season in Chicago and has seven strikes and four helpers in 17 appearances this year. The speedy Ghanaian international has been hot recently, notching two goals and two assists in his last four matches.
ESPN FC's Doug McIntyre reported later on Wednesday that Nantes offered Chicago $3 million for Accam, whose contract is guaranteed through next season and includes a club option for 2018. McIntyre also reported that Chicago have been trying to re-sign Accam to a new deal for weeks.
Nantes and MLS did a bit of business earlier this summer, as the Philadelphia Union acquired US international midfielder Alejandro Bedoya from the French club earlier this month.
Chicago, who are currently in last in MLS, will host the Union on Saturday (8:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE).
