A pair of Eastern Conference clubs in search of points to boost their playoff positioning meet when the Chicago Fire play host to Orlando City SC on Saturday evening at Toyota Park. The Fire sit at the foot of the conference standings, eight points below the red line, after their long road winless stretch was extended in a 3-1 defeat at Real Salt Lake last Saturday evening. Orlando City sit right on the red line, in a tie for sixth place, following their first home loss in more than a year in a 3-1 defeat by Seattle Sounders FC last Saturday at Camping World Stadium.

- Orlando City SC took the lead after just four minutes when Cyle Larin pulled in a Kevin Molino feed, side-stepped a defender at the top of the box and fired past Fire goalkeeper Matt Lampson.
- The Fire answered back 10 minutes later when David Accam hit home, streaking behind the defense to collect a long ball from John Goossens and beat Orlando ‘keeper Joe Bendik.
- The home side played a man up for the final hour after Chicago defender Michael Harrington was sent off for a reckless tackle on Brek Shea in the 32nd minute.
