Chicago Fire Premier tryouts Sunday

The Chicago Fire will be hosting tryouts this Sunday, April 20, for its PDL, NPSL and Super 20 teams. Tryouts will be held at 9:00 a.m. CT at Moraine Valley Community College. PDL

The Chicago Fire Premier PDL side has been one of the most successful teams in the Premier Development League since its inception in 2001. The team has complied a regular season record of 97-15-13 in seven years of play in the highest division of amateur soccer in the United States, the Premier Development League of the United Soccer League.


• USL record 7 straight playoff appearances
• 6 Central Division titles
• 12 All-USL players
• Highest winning percentage of all North American teams since 2000
• 7 former players with US National Team Caps
• 59 former players moving to the professional ranks both in the USA and Europe including Chicago Fire first team members Chris Rolfe and Dasan Robinson


SUPER 20

The Chicago Fire Premier Super 20 team was formed in 2007. The Super 20's play in the United Soccer League's Super 20 Division. The Super 20 league provides the opportunity for the top 17-20 year old players in North America to play high level competition in the summer months, in conjunction with Premier Development League teams. In only one season of competition, the Chicago Fire Premier Super 20's had some major accomplishments:


• Undefeated Regular Season (one of only 4 teams out of 53 in North America to do so)
• North American Championship Runner-Up
• Defeated DC United and Red Bull, the only other two MLS player development teams competing at the Super 20 level
• 2 players named to the Super 20 All-North American team
• North America Super 20 Coach of the Year (Larry Sunderland)
