Chicago Fire FC announced on Friday that their homecoming match against Atlanta United on Saturday, March 21 at Soldier Field (3:30 pm ET | Univision, MLS LIVE on DAZN) has surpassed 30,000 tickets sold.
“Since announcing our return to Soldier Field, ticket sales have been remarkably steady and momentum is building,” said Fire president Nelson Rodriguez in a statement. “The reunion of Fire fans with our city promises to make this opening day a special homecoming.”
The Fire are returning to their first home for the 2020 season, the first time they have regularly played in the downtown Chicago venue since 2005. They'll play their first three MLS matches on the road, beginning Sunday at the Seattle Sounders (3 pm ET | ESPN, MLS LIVE on DAZN).
