Castrol Index Weekly Top 20: Clint Dempsey's superstar performance leads the way in Week 5

The Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders battled to an epic 4-4 draw on Saturday, and one of the headliners from that match, Sounders midfielder Clint Dempsey, takes the top spot in the Castrol Index Weekly Top 20 for Week 5.

With a hat trick in a comeback effort in the Cascadia Cup thriller, Dempsey ran away as the leader of the Weekly Top 20. One other player from that match, Sounders defender DeAndre Yedlin (No. 20), also made the cut.

Following Dempsey for Week 5 were FC Dallas goalkeeper Chris Seitz (No. 2), who saved a penalty kick at the end of his side's 4-1 Texas derby win over the Houston Dynamo, and another goalkeeper, Júlio César, whose saves helped preserve the road shutout for Toronto FC. Rounding out the Top 5 was a pair of goalscorers for the LA Galaxy in their 3-0 SuperClasico win over Chivas USA, Baggio Husidic (No. 4), and Robbie Keane (No. 5)
