Juventus' woes increased as a stoppage-time equalizer saw them held at home by second-bottom Lecce.
Axel Cedric Konan silenced Olympic Stadium when he gave the visitors an 11th-minute lead, but Pavel Nedved looked to have turned the game on its head with two strikes in the second half.
However, there was one last twist as substitute Jose Ignacio Castillo snatched a last-gasp leveler to nick a point for Lecce.
Juve coach Claudio Ranieri and his side have come under heavy fire this week following a disappointing April during which they failed to win any of their four league matches while they were also bundled out of the Coppa Italia by Lazio.
Fans and shareholders of the club have demanded answers for their poor form with protests also being held in Turin.
Despite the unrest around the club, Juve remain third in the Serie A table and are almost certain to clinch a place in next year's Champions League.
But today's result will have done little to appease the Old Lady fans.
Ranieri's team started well, Amauri going close to giving the hosts the lead in the opening seconds with a fine left-footed shot which Tiziano Polenghi did well to block.
The opening goal arrived at the other end 10 minutes later, Guillermo Giacomazzi feeding Konan, who beat the offside trap and slotted coolly past the onrushing Gianluigi Buffon.
Vincenzo Iaquinta was within inches of an equalizer just before the half-hour mark but could just not quite connect at the far post with Nedved's cross.
Alessandro Del Piero then dribbled past two defenders and found himself in the area but could not get his shot away.
A Iaquinta header again saw Juve go close five minutes before the break, and then Del Piero's free-kick from the edge of the area struck the upright as the visitors took their shock lead into the interval.
Ranieri's side came out of the blocks quickly after the restart but again struggled to make the quick breakthrough as Lecce goalkeeper Francesco Benussi smothered the ball at the feet of Amauri in front of goal following Iaquinta's cross-cum-shot from the left in the 50th minute.
Juve were back on level terms four minutes later, however. Neat build-up play involving Cristian Poulsen and Iaquinta resulted in the ball falling to the feet of Amauri, who held up play well and then flicked across the face of goal for Nedved to tap past a helpless Benussi.
Benussi was picking the ball out of his net again shortly afterwards when Czech star Nedved brilliantly controlled Claudio Marchionni's cross from the left and then fired home. The Lecce goalkeeper got a hand to it but was not able to keep it out.
Lecce were not going to lie down, though, and gave their hosts warning of a late fightback when Fabiano's shot beat Buffon seven minutes from time, but Poulsen was on the line to clear the danger.
The equalizer duly arrived in stoppage time, when Simone Tiribocchi's lovely cross from the left was powerfully headed home by Castillo.
