On Sunday, D.C. United's newest acquisition, Marcelo Gallardo, will be a guest on the very popular Spanish-language television program Republica Deportiva. The show airs live on Univision from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST. Last year, Jaime Moreno was a guest on the variety show.
The Republica Deportiva appearance will be followed by a photo shoot with ESPN Depotes La Revista - the Spanish version of ESPN, The Magazine - for which he will be featured on the cover in an upcoming issue.
Gallardo has been very busy since joining the Black-and-Red, having done interviews with numerous outlets including CNN en Español Radio, ESPN Deportes Radio, Gol TV, Telefutura and Estudio Futbol Argentina T y C Sports - one of the most popular sports shows in his native Argentina. Keep an eye out for United's number 10 in this outlets.
Bradenton winds down
The team's time in Bradenton is quickly coming to a close. On Saturday morning, head coach Tom Soehn broke the players up into three teams and played some small sided games to goal with zonal restrictions. The morning session was wrapped up with a bit of fitness. Saturday evening the team will have a light training session to close out the day. Following, the team will train Sunday and Monday in advance of Tuesday's morning friendly with the Kansas City Wizards, before flying back to D.C. the same evening. The team will have Wednesday and Thursday off and then depart for Los Angeles on Friday.
