AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 31
Don't mess with Sporting Kansas City right now. Or Krisztian Nemeth, for that matter.
After scoring the game-tying goal in Sporting's penalty-kick win in the US Open Cup final on Sept. 30, Nemeth dazzled with a mazy run before finishing off a late goal to beat the Portland Timbers on Saturday night. AT&T MLS Goal of the Week voters have rewarded Nemeth with a whopping 67.93 percent of the vote through Wednesday evening.
Of those hoping for a Thursday voting miracle, Real Salt Lake's Luke Mulholland has the best chance, with more than 17 percent of the vote. FC Dallas forward David Texeira and Orlando City defender Seb Hines both have more than 6 percent of the vote, while Colorado's Kevin Doyle lags behind with slightly more than 1 percent of the vote.
There's still time to show some support for the other guys … or help Nemeth complete the rout!
Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week – including an archive of all of this season’s nominees and winners – click here.
