Atlanta United vs. Columbus Crew SC
Mercedes-Benz Stadium – Atlanta
September 14 – 7:00 PM ET
STREAMING: MLS LIVE on ESPN+ in US, on DAZN in Canada
Atlanta United look to bounce back from a loss to the Philadelphia Union and stay in the hunt for the top spot in the Eastern Conference when they host a Columbus Crew SC side desperate for all three points Saturday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Third in the East, Atlanta (15-10-3) had a four-match winning streak snapped with a 3-1 defeat to the Union at Talen Energy Stadium Aug. 31. Josef Martinez extended his MLS record consecutive scoring streak to 13 games with the opening goal in first-half stoppage time, but the Union responded with three unanswered goals after the hour mark.
The Crew (8-15-7) are eight points adrift of the playoff line in the East and dropped two critical points in a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire at MAPFRE Stadium Aug. 31. Pedro Santos' first-half goal stood until Przemyslaw Frankowski leveled for the Fire deep in second-half stoppage time.
This is the clubs' second meeting this year, with Columbus coming away with a 2-0 win at a rain-soaked MAPFRE Stadium March 30. Santos and Gyasi Zardes struck for first-half goals that were separated by a lengthy weather delay.
