TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Transfer
Atlanta United were in the market for a new midfielder, and on Tuesday they got their man, announcing the signing of Eric Remedi to a multi-year contract using Targeted Allocation Money, as a Discovery Signing.
The 23-year-old native of Argentina has played his entire career to date at Argentine first-division side Banfield. A defensive-minded midfielder, he's made 68 appearances and has experience playing in both South American regional club competitions, the Copa Sudamericana and Copa Libertadores.
Remedi won't be available to play for Atlanta United until the Secondary Transfer Window opens on July 10, and he should get a chance to play right away once he's eligible, following the injury of Darlington Nagbe that will keep the US international out 2-3 months.
