AMSTERDAM — Brad Friedel notched four saves to post his 125th career Premier League clean sheet on Monday, helping Tottenham Hotspur battle Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.
The 2002 World Cup hero was at his best to paw away a long-distance effort from Martin Kelly at the hour mark. Friedel also safely cradled a late Luis Suárez header hit straight at him in the waning moments to secure his ninth shutout of the season.
Third-place Tottenham now stand seven points shy of league leaders Manchester City and as many points above Chelsea ahead of Saturday's White Hart Lane visit from fifth-place Newcastle.
