AMSTERDAM – Michael Bradley enjoyed another solid outing for AS Roma on Saturday night, helping the home side cruise to a 4-2 win over AC Milan.
The US midfielder helped start rushes for the second and third Giallorossi strikes, as they built a three-goal lead by halftime and added another just past the hour. Despite a late pair of Milan consolation goals, Roma got back on the right track to remain within three points of the third Serie A Champions League slot.
Turning to EPL action, Tim Howard and Everton rallied from an early deficit to reclaim fourth place with a 2-1 victory at West Ham United.
The US netminder required only one save to run his unbeaten streak to six matches. Meanwhile, Sebastian Lletget was an unused sub for the Hammers.
Elsewhere, Geoff Cameron returned to right back with a strong shift as Stoke City held Tottenham to a 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane. The Potters slipped a rung to eighth despite running their unbeaten streak to eight games.
Brad Friedel served as Spurs back-up goalkeeper, while Clint Dempsey was a late scratch with a groin complaint.
Down one level in the Championship, Will Packwood returned to the line-up in Birmingham City's 2-2 draw with visiting Burnley. The youngster went all 90 at right back as the Brums remained docked in 19th place.
Zak Whitbread and Leicester City fell 1-0 at home to Cardiff City. The fifth place Foxes slipped seven points off automatic promotion pace by losing their second consecutive match by the same score.
Meanwhile, Tim Ream went unused as Bolton dropped a wild 5-4 result at Peterborough.
Over in La Liga, Oguchi Onyewu watched on as Málaga scored a 3-2 victory over Real Madrid. It was the third straight league win for the Anchovies.
