Major League Soccer announced on Wednesday the slate of events for the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star week in Portland, Ore., including headlining musical acts The Flaming Lips and Cold War Kids.
The six-day celebration in downtown Portland will kick off on Friday, August 1, with fan events extending through the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday, August 6 (9:30 pm ET, ESPN2, UniMas, TSN and RDS).
On Sunday, August 3, MLS Experience at Waterfront Park presented by AT&T will provide a day of world-class live music, entertainment, partner activations and other exciting activities from noon-7 pm PT. The Flaming Lips, an internationally-lauded indie rock band, will perform at 5 pm PT, along with opening act Radiation City, at Portland's Waterfront Park.
The concert, which is free to the public, will also be streamed live at www.MLSsoccer.com/concert.

The six-day MLS Experience at Pioneer Courthouse Square presented by adidas will take place from Friday, August 1 through Wednesday, August 6. It will include a soccer field on the square, autograph sessions with soccer greats, and, at the center of it all, the entertainment stage for concerts, celebrity interviews, DJs, and more.
The week at Pioneer Courthouse Square will be highlighted by a free Cold War Kids concert presented by AT&T on Tuesday at 9 pm PT, as well as a Men in Blazers live show on Monday at 9 pm PT. Please visit www.MLSsoccer.com/allstar for information about the concert and the Men in Blazers show.
