With the dust still settling from the US men's national team's disappointing World Cup qualifying performances against Costa Rica and Honduras, FOX Soccer analyst Alexi Lalas had some strong words for a number of prominent USMNT stars on Sunday night's broadcast.
Speaking during halftime of a 1-1 draw between the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy, Lalas fired shots at Tim Howard, Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, Geoff Cameron and coach Bruce Arena in his scorching rant. Those left out were omitted because they "don't even warrant a mention," Lalas blistered.
Is Lalas right? Were those leaders listening? And if so, how will they respond? Only time will tell. Particularly, the next international break in early October.
