Jack McInerney scored a circus goal in the Montreal Impact's 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamo on Sunday evening at Stade Saputo. It was his second goal of the night, and it ended up being the talk of the weekend.
Was it piece of ingenious skill? Or a lucky swing of the leg?
Ultimately, it doesn't matter. The ball went into the net, the Impact won, and JackMac walked off the hero.
For his efforts, he was voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 16 by the North American Soccer Reporters. This is first POTW recognition of the season for McInerney, who was traded to Montreal last month.
Other players who recieved votes were the Philadelphia Union's Sebastien Le Toux, who scored twice in a 3-1 win at New England, and Bradley Wright-Phillips, whose late equalizer salvaged a draw for the New York Red Bulls against Toronto FC.
