Toronto FC's Senior Academy Team will play its first game in the Canadian Soccer League playoffs on Sunday afternoon (September 27th). The Reds youngsters will face Serbian White Eagles at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke in the first leg of the quarter final tie. Kick off is set for 5:00 p.m.

Toronto FC Academy qualified for the CSL playoffs for the first time after finishing seventh in the standings with 23 points from 18 matches. They face a tough test against the team that won the International division and finished second overall in the CSL with 36 points from 18 matches. TFC lost both games against the White Eagles during the regular season going down 2-1 at Centennial Stadium in June and then being beaten 3-0 at Esther Shiner Stadium earlier this month. TFC finished the season on a high with back-to-back wins, 7-1 against London City and 8-0 against North York Astros.

As the higher placed team, Serbian White Eagles had the choice to play at home or away in the first leg and chose to be at home. The second leg will therefore be a home match for the Academy and will be played the following weekend (date and venue to be confirmed).
