Toronto FC Academy's Senior Team lost 4-1 to the Canadian Soccer League defending champions Serbian White Eagles in the second leg of the Playoff Quarter Finals on Saturday afternoon at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke.

Needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, the Academy started strongly and almost took an early lead when a free kick from Jonathan Lao hit the woodwork. The Reds did manage to find the net soon after. With TFC First Team Head Coach Chris Cummins watching on from the sidelines, Allando Matheson fired TFC into a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute from the penalty spot for his 11th goal of the season.

The White Eagles tied the game just a minute later to go back ahead overall, and they added three more goals after half-time for a 4-1 victory on the afternoon, and a 5-1 win over the two legs.

In a busy weekend for Toronto FC Academy, attention now turns to the Junior Team as they play in the CSL Reserve Division Playoff Final on Sunday afternoon against Woodbridge Italia at St. Joan of Arc High School in Maple. Kick off is 2:00 p.m. and TFC Season Seat Holders can get free admission to the match on production of their Season Seat Holder Membership Card.
