Next year, the entire soccer world will go Brazilian. MLS is no exception.
The 2014 adidas MLS Match Ball, revealed this week, is based on the “Brazuca,” the official match ball of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. When the 2014 season kicks off on March 8, MLS will become the first league in the world to play the Brazuca.
The colors are meant to represent "a heart, as the ball is the heart of the soccer and MLS."
The Brazuca boasts an innovative six-panel design and a unique surface designed to provide improved grip, touch, stability and aerodynamics. Adidas's design process involved more than 600 players and 30 teams in 10 countries, making it "the most tested ball ever by adidas."
