Vancouver Whitecaps superfan Kenton Doust has, at age 15, beat incredible odds: he's overcome three brain tumors, four months of chemo, and 25 sessions of radiation before getting the all-clear. Through his lengthy treatment, though, he turned to his beloved 'Caps for strength and support, developing a close relationship with players like Russell Teibert.
Now, he can claim another accomplishment: a special player card in FIFA 17, catching international attention and even getting a shout-out from Villareal CF's Bakambu Cedric.
Turns out, this was all thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which also arranged for Doust to celebrate his all-clear with some other special soccer experiences. Read about the whole story on the Whitecaps site.
