Remember that fun Twitter weekend when comedian Leslie Jones quickly discovered soccer, then live-tweeted nine hours of MLS playoffs the day after?
Well, Jones' ardor for the sport hasn't cooled since then. She attended her first in-person pro soccer game ever courtesy of NYCFC (though they got shellacked 5-0 at home by Toronto). Of course Jones, a big-time sports fan in general, always roots for teams from her hometown of New York City.
But she seems to have developed a serious soft spot for the Seattle Sounders along the way.
She continued to tweet words of encouragement and celebration as they made it through the Western Conference Championship.
And on Saturday night, as she prepped for another episode of Saturday Night Live, she tweeted out that she might have a surprise for the Sounders and their fans.
The big reveal? She repped the Sounders during the show's traditional ensemble goodbye, with her own custom Seattle jersey, reading "Lesdogggg" on the back with a number seven.
No doubt she'll be watching, then, when the Sounders visit Toronto FC this coming Sat., Dec. 10, for the biggest game of the year, the MLS Cup final (8 pm ET, FOX and UniMás in the US, and TSN and RDS in Canada). And, of course, if you wanna get your own custom Sounders jersey, head on over to MLSstore.
