Tim Melia's double save for Sporting Kansas City on Decision Day helped preserve a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes. It also garnered a prize for Melia.
Sporting's 'keeper earned MLS Save of the Week presented by Phillips 66 Lubricants for Week 34 of the season. Melia denied first a long-range effort through traffic by Simon Dawkins in the 24th minute, before subsequently smothering Chris Wondolowski's point-blank attempt moments later.
Melia garnered 60 percent of the vote to fellow finalist Eirik Johansen's 40 percent, the latter's effort coming in his first MLS appearance.
