Week 33 of the 2016 MLS season should be a doozy – and you’ll have more ways to watch than ever.
A variety of outlets – including, naturally, MLSsoccer.com – will provide unprecedented coverage of “Final Push to the Playoffs” Sunday this weekend.
Here’s a rundown of all the ways you can take in Sunday’s action:
MLS Matchday Live (2 pm & 7:30 pm ET)
MLSsoccer.com will deliver two of the biggest shows of the season on Sunday, with a one-hour long MLS Matchday Live before and after all the action to preview and breakdown what should be a wild and memorable Week 33.
Beginning at 2 pm ET and then returning at the end of the day at 7:30 pm ET, MLS Matchday Live shows will be streamed on MLSsoccer.com, YouTube and Facebook, providing fans all the great stories and late-breaking news from the penultimate matchday of the season.
The pregame show will also include the Expansion Priority Draft, which will see 2017 expansion teams Atlanta United FC and Minnesota United FC make some massive early moves to determine which team gets first dibs to select players in various drafts over the next months.
Both shows will feature a slew of notable MLS personalities, including former Orlando City head coach Adrian Heath, former USMNT and MLS defender and KICK host Heath Pearce, former MLS forward and MLSsoccer.com video personality Calen Carr, as well as on-site reports from Bobby Warshaw at Rio Tinto Stadium and Jillian Sakovits from Providence Park.
ESPN doubleheader
ESPN will broadcast a pair of high-stakes matches on Sunday, one from each conference. They’ll get things going at 3 pm ET in Montreal, where the Impact will host Canadian rivals Toronto FC. The show will continue out in Portland, where the Colorado Rapids could potentially clinch the Supporters’ Shield with a win against the Timbers.
ESPN will be doing far more than just broadcasting the two games, however. The network’s coverage will include live look-ins at the other Eastern Conference matches during the Montreal-TFC contest and coverage of the four other Western Conference games during the Portland-Colorado clash.
The whiparound coverage will be anchored from ESPN’s studios by regular play-by-play man Adrian Healey, who will be joined by former Seattle Sounders coach Sigi Schmid and ex-MLS forward Alejandro Moreno.
In addition to being shown on ESPN, the telecast will also be broadcast on ESPN Deportes and streamed live on WatchESPN.
Canadian coverage
MLS fans in Canada will also take in the Montreal-Toronto 401 Derby broadcast nationally on TSN2 and RDS, while the Vancouver Whitecaps’ match at the San Jose Earthquakes will be shown nationally on TSN.
