Toronto FC and the Philadelphia Union split the points after a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon at BMO Field, with TFC finding their way through a stingy Union defense to equalize late.
The Union dominated early, and an Alejandro Bedoya chip and surefire Goal of the Year candidate which opened up the scoring stood as the lone goal past the hour mark. It took an outstanding individual effort by Jonathan Osorio dribbling and weaving through the Union back line to set up Justin Morrow for the tight angle goal.
From then on it was all Toronto FC, but hard luck saw Jozy Altidore's best attempt at a go ahead goal clang off the post. There was a late penalty shout to close out the contest, but Altidore's pleas only earned him a yellow card for dissent.
