If you’ve ever thought about playing MLS Fantasy, now’s the chance to jump in!
On Monday, the MLS Fantasy Manager game is launching the Red Line Challenge, a special contest for new players. All new managers who join in Round 29 will compete for the following prizes:
- 1st prize: A $200 general or MLSStore.com gift card and a MLS LIVE subscription for the 2017 season
- 2nd prize: A $50 general or MLSStore.com gift card and a MLS LIVE subscription for the 2017 season
- 3rd prize: An MLS LIVE subscription for 2017
Keep in mind that these prizes are available for new managers only – if you already have a squad, you’re not eligible.
The contest opened Monday, at 9 am ET. To get started, simply head to fantasy.mlssoccer.com and click Start Playing. Once you log in, you’ll have the opportunity to select your 16-person roster.
Your job is to build the best possible squad within your $120 million budget. You can select up to four players from any one MLS team and you’re awarded points based on how those players perform in their team’s real-life matches.
Once you’ve confirmed your team and your captain (you can find tips on team selection here), you’ll be entered into a pool against all the other new managers. We’ll be watching that competition closely to see who gets those big prizes – including that $200 prize for first place. The manager with the most points from Round 29 to the end of the season will take home the grand prize.
Including Round 29, there are only six more rounds in the 2016 MLS Fantasy season. For casual fans, it’s a great way to dip your toes in the fantasy water to see if you enjoy the game. For fans of Minnesota United FC and Atlanta United FC, it’s a great way to survey the league before your team begins play in 2017.
