After a great 2015 season, Lloyd Sam found himself out of favor with the New York Red Bulls in 2016 and was subsequently traded to D.C. United.
On Thursday he will head back up to New York to take on New York City FC and Jack Harrison (7 pm ET; MLS LIVE) in a battle of two of the league's top right wingers. Harrison, the rookie sensation, has tallied three goals and three assists in 14 games this year, helping NYCFC reach the top of the Eastern Conference.
After scoring one goal and assisting on three others for the Red Bulls, Sam has collected three assists in six games for United. This has helped him reach the No. 9 spot in the Audi Index among right wingers in MLS this season. He has also reached that point thanks to his 39 chances created, the second most among right wingers, which earn him 45 points each.
Harrison checks in at No. 10 not only because of his goals and assists but by virtue of his 25 dribbles completed, which earn him 35 points each.
