Adam Jahn - San Jose Earthquakes - Close up

Columbus Crew SC added depth to their attacking corps on Saturday, when the club announced that they've acquired forward Adam Jahn from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for Targeted Allocation Money.

Jahn, 25, was selected by the Earthquakes in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft. He has six goals and one assist in 62 career regular season appearances. The Stanford product has played sparingly in San Jose this year, scoring one goal in 95 minutes of action as he's split time between the Quakes and USL affiliate Sacramento Republic FC .

"We are pleased to welcome Adam to Columbus Crew SC as he provides valuable striker depth for our club in the second half of the season," Crew SC sporting director and head coach Gregg Berhalter said in a statement released by the club. "Adam has a strong physical presence, excellent work rate and is a threat inside the penalty box. We look forward to his arrival in Columbus and integrating him into the team."

Jahn will join a Crew SC striker corps that also includes Ola Kamara and Conor Casey. Columbus, who are in ninth in the East with a 3-7-10 record and are currently on an eight-game winless run, will face Toronto FC at BMO Field on Sunday (7:30 pm ET; MLS LIVE in the US, SN360 in Canada).
