Have Julian Green's days in the depths of the German fourth division come to an end? New Bayern Munich head coach Carlo Ancelotti seems to be hinting as much:
Green's played frequently for the Bavarian giants in their preseason training, scoring a goal and generally looking like a snug fit on the wing. The 21-year-old has appeared six times for the US national team, but just once since 2014.
He's yet to make his debut for Bayern in Bundesliga play, though he's played once for them in a Champions League game back in November of 2013. A loan to Hamburger SV for the 2014/15 season resulted in just five appearances before being cut short, and Green spent last year in the Regionalliga Bayern, where he scored 10 goals in 24 appearances.
