It's not everyday you see this happen in a competitive game.
FC Wichita hosted the Shreveport Rafters in an NPSL playoff game on Wednesday night, and with Wichita ahead 2-0 in second-half stoppage time, goalkeeper Mark Weir fully iced the result by scoring from his own penalty spot. Yes, you read that right.
It was a tough break for Shreveport, but a special memory for Weir, joining the likes of Tim Howard and Brad Friedel as goalkeepers to have scored in a competitive match.
