The 2016 AT&T MLS All-Star Game is fast approaching, and now we know who will be the man in the middle.
The Professional Referee Organization (PRO) announced the officiating crew for the MLS All-Stars' showdown with Arsenal on July 28 (8 pm ET, ESPN, UniMás, TSN, RDS), with referee Chris Penso set to take charge of the proceedings. Penso, 34, was the fourth official at the 2015 MLS Cup and US Open Cup finals and has been a referee in MLS since 2011.
Accompanying Penso will be assistant refs Frank Anderson and Matthew Nelson, fourth official Juan Guzman, and Chris Strickland as the reserve assistant referee.
The 2016 AT&T MLS All-Star Game will be played at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California.
