An Independent Panel rescinded a red card, the MLS Disciplinary Committee announced on Friday, along with the suspension of two players and fining a third.
Conor Casey Red Card – Rescinded
Columbus Crew SC forward Conor Casey received a red card in the 77th minute of Crew SC’s 3-2 defeat against Philadelphia Union on June 1. Through the MLS Players Union, Casey submitted an appeal that was unanimously supported by the Independent Panel. As a result, Casey’s suspension and fine have been rescinded and he will be eligible to play in Crew SC’s next match, against the Montreal Impact on June 18.

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended Vancouver Whitecaps forward Octavio Rivero one game and issued an undisclosed fine for "serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent" in the 49th minute of Vancouver's 1-1 draw against the Houston Dynamo on May 28. Rivero's suspension will be served on June 18 against New England.
Waston's foul on Asprilla
The Disciplinary Committee has also issued an additional one-game suspension and undisclosed fine to Vancouver Whitecaps defender Kendall Waston, who was red-carded after "violent conduct that endangered the safety of an opponent" during a 4-2 loss to the Portland Timbers on May 22. Waston will be suspended two games altogether.
McCarty's hands to the head
Finally, the Disciplinary Committee issued an undisclosed fine to New York Red Bulls midfielder Dax McCarty, who was found to be in violation of league policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent in the 74th minute of a 3-0 victory against Toronto FC on May 28.
