AMSTERDAM – According to a French report, Stabæk manager Bob Bradley is in deepening discussions with French Ligue 2 side Le Havre.
Leading soccer publication France Football claims that the club, 90-percent owned by Texas businessman Vincent Volpe, are eager to land the former US national team boss and are in "very advanced negotiations." The New Jersey native will run out of contract in Norway in December. Bradley's agent, Ron Waxman, declined to comment on the report when contacted by MLSsoccer.com.
Le Havre currently stand six points out of the Ligue 2 promotion race in 12th place. They have been led by interim manager Christophe Revault since Thierry Goudet was let go in September.
Bradley and his Norwegian charges still have three games to go in the Tippeligaen season, with the Blue Ones holding a slim edge for second place. They can move to the edge of clinching a 2016-17 Europa League berth with a victory at A.J. Soares and Viking on Sunday.
Since arriving at Stabæk to take charge of a promoted side for the 2014 Norwegian season, Bradley has amassed a 36-21-11 record in all competitions, including consecutive NM Cupen semifinal appearances. Stabæk finished ninth in the 16-team league last year.
Bradley's management trophy case houses the 1998 MLS Cup crown, two US Open Cups (with the Chicago Fire) and a 2007 Gold Cup title with the USMNT.
