Bedell, 23, was drafted by Columbus in the third round of the 2014 SuperDraft. The 6-foot-7 striker scored a pair of goals in 16 MLS games with Crew SC in his rookie year but did not make an MLS appearance for Gregg Berhalter’s side in 2015, spending time on loan in USL with the Austin Aztex and Richmond Kickers and only appearing for the Crew SC in Open Cup action. He started and played the first half in the Crew SC's USOC loss at Orlando on June 30.
“We’re looking forward to working with Adam,” Orlando GM Paul McDonough said in a statement released by the club. “We have seen him quite a few times over the last two years and played against him last preseason and US Open Cup this year. Adam is a big athlete that brings a different look to our group of young striker options.”
Bedell will be available for immediate selection for Orlando, who host the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night (7:30 pm ET, MLS LIVE).
