Back to the drawing board? Paulo Sousa has been heavily linked to the vacant managerial position at the New York Red Bulls — but according to a report in Portuguese publication O Jogo on Tuesday, the former Portuguese international will not be taking the job.
Sousa, whose managerial career has included stops at Swansea City, Queens Park Rangers and Leicester City in England, is out of contract after parting ways with Hungarian outfit Videoton earlier in January.

However, the report indicates that the former Portugese international and the Red Bulls were unable to reach an agreement, meaning the New York will have to look elsewhere to find Hans Backe's successor.
The Red Bulls declined to comment on the report when contacted by MLSsoccer.com on Tuesday.
