2020: Torres made two league appearances for the club in 2020.

2019: Torres made his MLS debut in the 2019 season after being subbed on against Philadelphia Union. He also started in the club’s first Lamar Hunt US Open Cup win vs. North Carolina FC, assisting a goal for Keaton Parks from right-back. 

HOW ACQUIRED: Signed on a permanent transfer from KSC Lokeren

New York City FC signed midfielder Juan Pablo Torres to a multi-year contract from Belgian First Division A club KSC Lokeren.

A 19-year old American from Lilburn, Georgia, Torres moved to Lokeren in 2017 on a professional contract after playing youth soccer at Georgia United. During his time in Belgium, Torres featured twice for the Lokeren’s first team.

INTERNATIONAL: Torres has been a part of the United States National Team youth program at multiple levels since his inclusion in the U-14 national camp in 2012. Torres helped secure a World Cup qualification for the U.S. U-20 National Team in November 2018. He captained the side in the group stage against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and in total tallied four goals and three assists as the U.S. won the 2018 Concacaf U20 Championship.
