Johan Brunell

Waived by Toronto FC on April 6, 2017.

After a successful preseason trial, Brunell, an imposing, left-footed central defender, will add depth to  TFC's three-man backline.

OUTSIDE MLS: Brunell most recentl played for Finnish club, FF Jaro. Brunell joined the club in 2010 and played his first five seasons (2011-15) in the Veikkausliiga (First Division) making a combined 70 appearances, scoring 5 goals. The club played in the Ykkönen (Second Division) in 2016 and Brunell made 20 appearances. In six seasons, Brunell made a combined 101 appearances with 5 goals for FF Jaro.
