Bravo, 22, joins NYCFC after making over 35 appearances for Boca Juniors since being promoted to the first team in 2013. He is a defensive midfielder who can also play at center back. “Federico is a good passing defensive midfielder who can shield the back four,” said NYCFC sporting director Claudio Reyna at the time of his signing. “He’s played over 35 first team games for Boca Juniors in a very competitive league. We’re getting a player with good experience that can provide depth and qualities we need.”

OUTSIDE MLS: Bravo has made 37 appearances for the Boca Juniors first team. He played for them 34 times in Argentine league play and made another three substitute appearances across the 2013 and 2015 editions of the Copa Libertadores.
