HOW ACQUIRED: Signed by FC Dallas on Dec. 14, 2016 from El Nacional.

Known in his native Ecaudor for his speed and explosiveness, Chala can provide attacking bite in addition to his defensive duties at the left back position.

INTERNATIONAL: Chala has featured for the Ecuador Under-20 national team, and shone in the 2015 Copa Cotif in Spain, where Ecuador finished fourth.

OUTSIDE MLS: Came up through El Nacional's youth academy before making his professional debut in 2013. Originally played as a defensive midfielder before making the switch to left back. Has logged nearly 9,500 minutes in 116 league appearances.
