MLS Experience

2021: Pérez joined the Black-and-Red on Jan. 6 after being selected by the team in the 2020 MLS re-entry draft. Midway through the season, Pérez had to undergo surgery to repair a fifth metatarsal fracture he sustained on July 17 in the match against the Philadelphia Union. He returned to the field on Oct. 17 against Nashville SC. The forward made 17 appearances (10 starts), recorded two assists, and logged 869 minutes.

2020: Pérez signed with D.C. United on Jan. 6, 2021 after playing with Los Angeles FC for the past two seasons. The American Forward appeared in nine matches (two starts) with LAFC in 2020. Perez has scored one career goal in the 23 matches he has played over the course of his two-year MLS career.

Perez started his MLS career with LAFC when he was signed on Feb. 21, 2019 from the Ottawa Fury in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). In two seasons with LAFC, Perez scored one goal in 25 appearances across all competitions. He scored his first MLS goal in the 2-2 draw with Orlando City SC on Sept. 7, 2019. In 2020, Perez made nine appearances (two starts); recording seven total shots in 299 minutes on the field.

Prior to joining LAFC, Perez played in the MASL with the Ottawa Fury. In 28 appearances for Ottawa from 2017 to 2019, the 25-year-old scored 47 goals. Perez led the entire MASL in goals ahead of being called into LAFC’s training camp in early 2019.

College Experience

Perez played four years for Loyola Marymount University in NCAA Division I after growing up in Ontario, California. The forward scored 21 goals in 63 appearances from 2013 to 2016 for the Marymount Lions.
