Carlos Carmona looks like he’s on his way out of Atlanta United.
Chilean outlet Dale Albo reported on Saturday that the veteran defensive midfielder will return to his native Chile to sign with Colo-Colo on Monday.
Carmona, 30, joined Atlanta from Italian Serie A club Atalanta last February. The Chilean international was under contract with the Five Stripes for 2018, but Dale Albo reported that he successfully negotiated his departure from the club to clear the way for a pending move to Colo-Colo.
Carmona was a key part of Atlanta’s expansion campaign, recording two goals and two assists in 31 regular season appearances for the club.
